TallyHop

Terms of use

Draft of October 15, 2026

This is a draft waiting on review. It is not in force yet.

These are the rules for using TallyHop. By using it, you agree to them.

Using TallyHop

  • You need to be at least 13 to use TallyHop.
  • Keep your sign-in to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • A trip’s invite link lets anyone who has it join that trip, and a guest’s voting link lets anyone who has it vote as that guest. Share them only with your group.

What you add

Places, photos, notes, names and links you add stay yours. You let us store them, show them to the members of the trip you added them to, and show a trip’s decided places to anyone its organizer shares the plan link with.

Don’t add anything:

  • you don’t have the right to share, such as someone else’s photos;
  • illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent;
  • that shares someone’s private information without their consent.

An organizer can remove a member or drop a place from their trip. To report something, write to the address on this page, once it is in force. We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms.

How a trip decides

  • Votes, vetoes and locks follow the rules the organizer sets for the trip. Nothing unlocks a decided place on its own.
  • The organizer runs the trip: its settings, the places that stalled, its members, and its archive.
  • Voting closes when the trip’s last day ends, in the trip’s own time zone.

Maps, places and AI

Place details, photos, maps and travel times come from Google. Travel times are estimates, labelled with what they are based on; check before you rely on one. Using them means you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.

TallyHop uses AI to find places in the links you share, to suggest places when you explore a destination, and to write notes for a drafted plan. It can be wrong. Check a place before you vote on it.

Our part

TallyHop is a young product. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and features may change. As far as the law allows, TallyHop is provided as it is, and we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, such as a missed booking or a trip that didn’t go to plan.

If you got TallyHop from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence for apps applies too. Apple isn’t responsible for TallyHop or for supporting it.

Ending and changes

You can stop using TallyHop whenever you like, and delete your account from Profile. If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it, and we’ll say so in TallyHop before a change that matters takes effect. Questions go to the address on this page, once it is in force. The privacy policy says what we keep and how to delete it.
